1962 Beetle Project Car

Picture updates. Lots of cutting. Lots of welding. No more diamond plate. Finished welding all the half welded joints that the car came with. New motor mounts. New trans mounts and crossmember. New driveshaft. New rear brakes. New spool in the rear. New front suspension arms. Coilovers in the rear. Fixed the coolant pipes through the frame. Roll cage installed. Fuel cell installed. Wheel options.

When we picked it up, we were told the starter was bad and we couldn't hear it run. After loading it up we started to get the body off to see the condition of the frame. What we found was that the only things holding the body to the frame were the steering column and a single brake line (and gravity). The diamond plate floor was sitting directly on top of the galvanized pipe that was being used to transport coolant through the front frame rails to the radiator in the rear.
